Abstract

This project is aimed at developing an inventory control management system, the system that used to save all electrical data at machine and the system that used to save report of machine break down to allow operator controlling and updating the system. This system is developed by using software Visual basic integrated with Microsoft Access. These. systems are use to ensure the units handling process in control, no damage to component, cost saving, reduce unnecessary downtime and improve the productivity. The implementation actually is to set up one control location with personal computer database to manage issuing, to reduce output of spare part tools and to record all report of machine break down with effectively and faster. The previous system that are used before, have many problem such as the technicians or engineers are to slow to repair the machine and the outgoing of the spare part basically using manual method which is not containable by just using one manual writing report book. Thus, the consequence of it making the factory productivity becomes lower or insufficient. Engineers are needed to record and observe the data from the machine manually. This system that will be produced will be able to solve and minimize the problems that are faced by nowadays problem. By doing so, Molex Company is able to increase the income and productivity and is able to minimize the cost by improving their system. The efficiency of the system before doesn't have a consistency of efficiency. So, the system were analyzed the level of efficiency. From the analysis undertaken, it has been proven that the efficiency of this system is at a level of satisfactory and no errors were identified in this system. Finally, this is the precious dream come-true opportunity collaboration between university side and Molex (M) Company working closely on this project development. This is not only for Molex (M) manufacturing production enhancement but also to boost up university reputation and bring out the best public image through academic co-operate with industry.
