Abstract
This research study explores the application of the 7QC (Seven Quality Control) and 5W (Who, What, When, Where, and Why) techniques in a manufacturing company to enhance product quality and optimize manufacturing processes. Through a comprehensive analysis of existing quality control practices, the study implements these methodologies to identify and resolve quality issues, improve product performance, and streamline operations. The findings demonstrate that the systematic implementation of the 7QC techniques and utilization of the 5W technique significantly improve product quality, reduce defects, and enhance process efficiency. This research provides practical insights for organizations aiming to enhance product quality and optimize manufacturing processes, contributing to the advancement of quality management systems. Furthermore, this research study dives into the specific application of each 7QC technique within the manufacturing company. The Pareto chart analysis allows for the identification of the most significant quality issues by prioritizing them based on their occurrence frequency or impact. Cause-and-effect diagrams, also known as Ishikawa or fishbone diagrams, provide a structured approach to explore the potential root causes behind these quality issues, categorizing them into major factors such as manpower, methods, materials, machinery, measurement, and environment. Control charts, on the other hand, enable the monitoring of process variations and facilitate timely corrective actions when deviations occur, ensuring that the manufacturing processes remain within acceptable limits. In conclusion, the systematic application of the 7QC and 5W techniques within a manufacturing company proves instrumental in improving product quality, streamlining manufacturing processes, and facilitating informed decision-making. The knowledge and insights derived from this study have the potential to drive positive change and foster sustainable growth in the manufacturing sector.
