Abstract

Electrostatic precipitator has been widely used in industry, and plays an important role in environment protection.Precipitator function by electrostatically charging the dust particles coming out from any industrial process and then collecting these on metal plates with the help of high electric field created between these plates so as to deposit particles on them. This project more to study and to analysis how the electrostatic precipitator (ESP) is work, and then go on to the details of their failures condition in the electrostatic precipitator at coal-fired power plant. This project should be analyzed the system description and working principal of the ESP condition also to identify the frequent failures of ESP using statistical analysis. The problem that will found on this ESP at coal-fired power plant is in two categories.First is a mechanical parts, second is electrical parts. This project will help to investigate the failure rate cause from where, and give the solution based on those categories.Lastly is,to measure the efficiency of ESP at coal-fired power plant. At the end of this project,it already shows clearly the mostly failure that happen in ESP.When the failure was identify,it will come out with the solution to prevent the failure,at the same time can get back the ideal rate or get the higher efficiency operation of electrostatic precipitator at coal-fired power plant, and it will state about result that already achieve and make a discussion.
