Abstract

The main objective of the project is to study, design and develop the simulation setup of plant with fuzzy control coordinator for multi-controller system. Java programming language was chosen since it is a platform-independent language. It also provides a way of extending the functionality of a Web browser, uses libraries, and object-oriented. The control coordinator is the controller that coordinates the operation of each controller in proper way using fuzzy method. A single fuzzy control rule in a fuzzy control rule set can be considered as a control strategy to be activated within certain operating range, while fuzzy control as a whole is considered as a blending of several control strategies. As a case study, a simulation of two-input two-output control system is conducted. The system plant consists of three tanks model to form an interactive two input two-output system. The flow rate of the water delivered by the pumps is considered as the manipulated variable. The result of this research is an interactive control simulation program written in Java. Some improvement are -till required, however this improvement can be done gradually.
