Abstract
Robot and industries are elements that can hardly be separated nowadays. Many companies had started to apply robot on their production floor. For this type of field, the robots are called Industrial Robots (IR). As well as the development and varieties of industries. the IR itself varies according to its usage such as for assembly, welding and cutting process. This project review current technology of IR and develop a robot selection strategy. Ms Visual Basic 6.0 wi ll be used as a tool to develop the programming. Ms Access 2000 will be used as the database.
