Abstract

Steam power plants are responsible for the productionof most of the electric power in the world. Small increases in the thermal efficiency mean large saving from the fuel requirements. Therefore, every effort is made to improve the efficiency of the cycle on which stim power plants operate. Thus, this project is made to investigate the efficiency of Fkm power station. The investigation has been done based on: 1. Thermodynamics First Rule 2. Thermodynamics Second Rule The calculation done and give us efficiency like enthalpy, heat added, turbine work, specific steam consumption and others. Individual plant were selected to overcome the problem and suggestion done to minimize the losses.
