Abstract
Lean manufacturing is a method of improving the efficiency, reliability, and reliability of a manufacturing facility's equipment. In a lean manufacturing context, one of the most significant elements influencing production capacity is overall equipment effectiveness (OEE). The goal of this study is to examine and quantify equipment performance in terms of availability, performance, and quality to achieve the world-class rate of OEE. Following are three study goals linked to OEE: i. To identify the significant six big losses factors in manufacturing. ii. To practice the OEE measure on production assembly. iii. To propose the improved production capacity based on OEE results in the manufacturing industry. The methodology allows researchers to gain valuable insights into equipment effectiveness and propose effective strategies for increasing production capacity by utilizing various data collection methods and data analysis techniques such as the Why-Why Analysis, Cause and Effect Diagram, Six Big Losses analysis, and OEE measurement. Based on the observations, appropriate equipment that is suitable to study to measure the factors of Six Big Losses at Automated Production Line (APL5) at Automotive industry. This Machine is the most important machine to do the assembly process for car frame in the industry. Thus, the application of OEE is convenient to increase the effectiveness of the production capacity of the machine and it can help the company to solve the factors of six big losses at the APL5 in the company. In Conclusion, OEE is the best practice to monitor continuously the operational performance and to increase the effectiveness of their manufacturing process.
