Abstract

The research project is Design and Analysis of Hole Pattern for Vacuum Manifold using CAE Analysis. This research project is to define the design verification and identify the calculation parameter in order to develop the holes pattern for vacuum manifold. Besides that, analyzed the new design holes pattern to prove that the system is work under expectation and discover how the pressure flow was affected to the entire vacuum manifold in actual condition. Therefore, by using the 3D CAD software to develop the holes patterns for vacuwn manifold in 3D modeling was the first step which leads to the progress of this project. Through this step, the holes pattern for vacuwn manifold system development and function ability could clearly understood by the end of analyzing process is accomplished. Due to the analysis result, the modification and redesign process of the holes pattern for vacuum manifold system was done to ensure that the system drying efficiency is improved. Before generating the product in 3D modeling, the basic data and information of holes pattern for vacuwn manifold was required such as types of holes pattern. vacuum and pressure source supply range, sizing method and etc. The flow simulation was performed on the 11 hole patterns for the vacuum manifold model created. SolidWorks Flow Simulation is applied in this project to analyze the static pressure, dynamic pressure, turbulent energy and velocity of the holes pattern for vacuum manifold.The simulation result was compared by using simplification table. The best design of the holes pattern for the vacuum manifold will be further explored and more parameters of the hole pattern can be analyzed.
