Abstract

A good understanding regarding material behavior and mechanical properties of material is important especially during design process of a structure to ensure that the structure is safe, whether it is building and bridge, or in machine and motor, or ship and submwrine or aircraft and antenna. Due to this reason, deep study needs to be done to ensure the safety of a component during design process of a product. In this research, design and fabrication of Variable Speed Hydraulic Drive Unit for done the experiments, some consideration has been taken. They are mechanical properties of material, safety properties and suitable design characteristics .. This is important to ensure that the product produced are safe and easy to use. With assistance from software such as Solidwork for designing process , design and analysis process can be done easier and accurate. This research also includes Welding Process, which is used to produce the training rig of Variable Speed Hydraulic Drive Unit.
