Abstract

The main focus of this research is to find the answer to the issues of the damage initiation and propagation of sandwich panel under compressive loading. The material that has been involved in this research is Carbon Fibre Reinforced Plastic (CFRP), aluminium honeycomb core and nomex honeycomb core. To analyze the damage initiation and propagation of sandwich panel under compressive loading, four points bending test has been chosen and this test will be carried out as per ASTM D5467 (American Standard Test Material).
