Abstract

In this study, the Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) was used to measure and monitor the machine efficiency in order to enhance the productivity and reduce the production time of the machine. OEE can also be utilized to analyze production data and subsequently to identify the potential areas for improvement. The machine used to determine the OEE is UH 083 pile machine which is operated in piling works in the construction of Fakulti Kejuruteraan Pembuatan, UTeM. In this study, the current OEE data was analyzed and the root cause of defective performance of the machine was identified. The machine performance and work process data is al so utilized for improvement plans. The improvement plans are implement in the machine and the new data of OEE are analyzed. The OEE shows an improvement and it has increased from 65.7% to 78 %
