Abstract

For Muslim, taking wudhu is a common thing to do every day before pray 5 times a day for everyday. However majority of people were wasting water too much. Water waste behaviour is certainly forbidden in religion Islam itself even for taking wudhu. The water waste has potentially created many problems such as waste of clean water, more time and effort to collect, treating the used water also known as grey water. The waste of water during wudhu is simply because majority of people like to open the water tap valve widely to get high water flow rate while other simply did not close the water tap after use. The situation is getting worse during hot weather where people will use more water to cool themselves during wudhu. As wudhu station, the common is using water tap that can be twist to allow the water flow. The used water then will flow through drainage and to the main drain. There are few innovation such as portable ablution system (PAS) that has been introduce to help ease the people to get access of wudhu in certain area and at the same time motivate people to reduce the water waste. However, the dimension of current Portable Ablution System does quite high and big in size which causing a difficult for carrying over and store it Therefore, the new design of Portable Ablution System (PAS) has been proposed to improve the current design. The new design is aimed to have smaller, compact size and less weight.
