Abstract

This research work, focus on the high speed turning of titanium alloy Ti-6Al-4V ELI by using the uncoated carbide insert. The objectives are to investigate the tool wear behavior and mechanisms on various cutting speed values, tool life, surface integrity of surface machined material, and cutting temperatures generated. These experiments are performed under cryogenic coolant condition by using natural gas carbon dioxide,CO2.
