Abstract
The aim of this project is to produce a new electrospun cabinet to run the process of electrospinning. Based on studies and observations, problems encountered while conducting electrospinning process is too vulnerable to hazards such as electric shock and chemical poisoning. With the production of this cabinet, the following problems can be solved. In this project, CATIA V5 software is used to create drawings and modeling the formation of the cabinet in three dimensions (3D). Meanwhile, the selection of the design is carried out using the Pugh Matrix. Several criteria were evaluated based on the elements of the Product Design Specification (PDS). After that, the design choices that have been modeled in 3D analyzed using CATIA V5 generative structure to determine the safety factor and ANSYS to determine the velocity and air pressure patterns in the cabinet. Bending and MIG welding method used to produce a good cabinet. In conclusion, with this cabinet in laboratory, experimental production of nano fibers can be carried out more safely.
