Abstract

This project is about the design and development of miniature size automatic storage and retrieval system (ASRS). The ASRS was developed using the Arduino programming, hardware and software integration as well as system troubleshooting. The ASRS have been widely used in distribution and production environment. The hardware structure of this system is built using arcylic. DC motor is used as actuator where tires and motor driver are used to transmit the rotation of a DC motor to linear motion. The AC motors are used to drive the motion of X, and Y axis of the system. Arduino programming is used as the main processing unit for the system. In general, the function of ASRS is to pick the goods from the specified location of storage rack to the input/output station, or pick the goods from input/output station to send into the rack automatically.
