Abstract

Nowadays, researches in robotic field growth increasingly. There are several type of categories below robotic field. One of them is ador sensing, Within the technology that grow faster, this topic have been issued among the researchers. An odor sensing not only applied in medical field, but it has been widely used in industrial. The gradient of concentration an odor is measure by diluted some amount to reach the threshold of an odor. In this research, it trying to implement the method of Particle Swarm Optimization (PSO) based on odor sensing in two (2) dimensional space. However, this research focus on applying in ideal condition. An ideal condition here means that there has no any disturbance include into this project. The main idea of this research was to observed how the particle agents make the movement based on concentration by applying the PSO method. However, the real sensor cannot be implement in this simulation. Because that, the value of concentration is measured due to the distance from particles agent to the goal of agents. The higher of gradient concentration is shown in the lower distance to the goal. Other than that, this research project also applied the Scratch Programming software to design the agents and implementation of PSO method were into it.
