Abstract

Comfort while driving is an important aspect that designer and engineer should think off. One of main problem faced by driver is back pain and sleepy during driving cars. Drivers experience back pain due to long journey rides meanwhile, sleepiness happens due to long driving hours without rest. The main objective of this project is to design a new product that can relieve back pain and reduce the sleepy problem while driving. Besides, it can be use as body massage to decrease probability of having numb while driving. Three design are created and analysis is done on the design to choose the best design that can deliver its main function to drive perfectly. Analysis also performed to choose a suitable place to insert the back pain releifer into the seat that used to massage the driver. More than that, a suitable battery will be choose to make sure it can work for a long period of time without out of power. A rechargable battery is suggested to ensure it can be use in simpler way. In the end of this project, fabrication process is conducted to produce a real product before analysis and improvement is implement on this product to ensure it can work as expected. As conclusion, hopefully this product can reduce the accident statistic in malaysia especially accident related to problem of driver sleepy and numb while driving.
