Abstract

This research studied about the thin hard density particle boards were produced from paddy husk. The first objective of the project is to develop thin hard density board at the different of paddy husk loading. The effects of raw material, as well as the resin content as the matrix material on mechanical and physical properties were investigated. For the analysis of mechanical properties such as the flexural testing, tensile testing and hardness testing were tested and measured. For the analysis ofthe physical properties such as the density testing and water absorption testing were tested and measured. Material characterization of Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM) is carried out to view and determine the microstructure and the morphology of the material. The results showed that the thin hard density board shows different value of mechanical and physical properties with different loading of matrix material and fiber materials. The mesh powder size also affecting the properties of the thin hard density board.
