Abstract

Pneumatic te lescopic cylinder is basically consist of cylindrical housing. a central piston. hollow pi ston rod. concentric piston. piston rod. air opening in the concentric piston rod and air outlet at the exit end of the cylindrical wall. In a pneumatic system. normally. the piston can stop at only two terminal endpoints. In order to maintain the ve locity of the pneumatic. this research is conduct to deve lop a kinematic control-based pneumatic system. Both position and ve locity of the pneumatic piston are controlled in such a \ a, that the controlled piston is able to move with the specified ve locity to the target position. The development is start with making the mathematical modeling of an existing pneumatic telescopic arm. ext. the proposed PID control is implemented in order to select the best control system. The results from the computer simulation show that the proposed PID control gives the most satisfied settling time and steady state error.
