Abstract
This proposal covers the design conception, simulation, implementation and explanation of the development of a fiber optic roughness measuring system briefly. The actual design will go through these processes, literature survey, design analysis circuit of by simulation, its implementation in hardware and fabricating to the demo-board (Printed Circuit Board). The simulation is done to make sure the response of the circuit complies with the specifications. Finally, the design is implemented with a proper hardware connection. This proposal is being the first step to get a better understanding of the project and a beginning for the author to be exposed to the software and hardware of this project besides gaining firsthand experience on fiber optics as this topic is getting importance in engineering recently.
