Abstract
Re-sharpen technique usually used as conventional machining defect cutting tools. Nowadays, technologies is more increasing by year, grinding processes are used Computer Numerical Control (CNC) system. CNC grinding machine have a high capabilities and more precise. This machine had capabilities to machining a various types, complex shape and sizes of cutting tools. In this project, end mills cutting tool are chosen to study and analyse suitable re-sharpen machining technique according defective condition. End mill.is widely employed in cutting application, but there is lacking exposure and attention among researcher in Computer Numerical Control (CNC) grinding (re-sharpen) process. Re-sharpen technique has huge advantages which is can minimize cost. Thus this project is to describe in details the grinding (re-sharpen) process of end mill by using abrasive grinding CNC machine. Before started the machining process, overview research and collected data from previous works are conducted. This study are includes of re-sharpen technique followed with defective cutting tool condition. This project is used four end mill cutting tool with different defective condition as specimens. For achieved the project objective accurate and clearly, this project develop prediction final geometry cutting tool simulation by Visual Basic Microsoft Excel 2010. After achieved with suitable re-sharpen techniques for each cutting tools, economic consideration will be discussed to relate with the advantages re-sharpen machining issues which is can minimize cost.
