Abstract

This study investigated the impact of akept's teaching and learning training program in malaysia. The objectives were how important akept’s teaching and learning training program? (level 2-re-action ), have the participants ever apply teaching knowledge based they gained from akept’s training? (level 2- learning ), how are the participants performing differently in order to influence changes among their peers and colleagues? (level 3-influencing changes change)(self-appraisal), what the observation’s result from superior’s feedback on participants’ quality teaching performance? (level 4- the result on superior’s feedback on their subordinates’ performance) knowledge based. (evaluator). Data gathering structure included ex-akept candidate (188), non-akept candidate (188) and evaluator (188) consists of about 564 respondents. The population of this study consist of 13% of young lecturers, 59% of senior lecturers and 28% of professor and associate professor. There were 133 institution involved in this research. Data analysis used in this research is pair sample t-test between before and after training. Result show that the significance level occured in various item on application and deessimination of knowledge. Pair t-test also show significant result between ex-akept and non-akept group pertaining to content knowledge of subject matter, knowledge of students and their learning, learning environment, assessment strategies to evaluate, instructional experiences design and creation, recognition, participation in and contribution to teaching as a profession. This study attempt akept to develop affirmative action plan for best practice in teaching and learning training program.
