Abstract

Admit, Discharge and Transfer system (ADTS) is a stand-alone system that is developed to support the management process of Admit, Discharge and Transfer department in hospitals. It provides the authorized system user with up-to-date information on patient status, expected admissions and discharges, and overstays. It also provides information on hospital resource management such as bed availability. The current ADT system is a paper-based system. Therefore, ADTS is developed to help the ADT process to be managed in a systematic way. This report is divided into seven chapters describing the project development process. Chapter I will briefly introduce the background, objective and scope of this project. Chapter II will discuss the facts and findings regarding this project and the project methodology used. The report continues to Chapter III discusses the requirements analysis of the project while chapter IV presents the design of the project including architectural design, database design and user interface design. Chapter V describes the implementation phase such as software configuration management, version control procedure and implementation status. Chapter VI describes how the testing is prepared and conducted. Lastly, chapter VII will conclude all the project development processes, bittersweet journey and experiences.
