Abstract
This project is about the design and implementation of Vehicle tracking system using GPS and GSM technology. It comprises of integration between a GPS receiver, a rnicrocontroller and a GSM module. This combination of technology will produce a tracking system. A tracking system is an integration oftwo systems which is coordinated by the GPS receiver controller and controlled by users using command interfaces through the GSM module as a tranmitter and receiver of data. This project can be divided into two main parts which are hardware and software development. The hardware development includes the GPS and the microcontroller wiring connection, and it 's integration with the GSM module. The software development includes develop the microcontroller 's source code, GSM message command, the NMEA protocol command. This system is controlled by users using a centralized command interfaces on a computer.
