Abstract

Digital door lock is an electronic locking system operated by the combination of digital key, security password or number codes. The increasing index of crime such as housebreaking, and lost key. Then sometimes key of our house was lost and was found by strange it could cause burglary and also cause money to duplicate new key. This paper presents a prototype of the proposed system and shows a scheme for the implementation the system with GSM network protocol. The methodology used in this project, begin with identifying clearly the component. The list of the component required as well as technical specification of the components and the software for the circuit and program development. The prototype was tested in three conditions which are by using ON/OFF button, password registration and using GSM via SMS. Therefore, the efficiency of the system based on the experiments that have been done. The analysis of the project was focused on the operation of the system in run mode, period of backup power and adaptability. Then, with this project user is able to improve safety in the home, especially when user at outside, this system that will activate and to be implemented at home so that, this design system will be able to reduce human effort by using the mobile phone to open the door.
