Abstract

Teaching young children could be difficult task. Therefore, educators need to carefully associate the factor which will introduce the engaged learning environment. Two aspect of related works are explored in this Android Apps which are to make learning an alphabets becomes more easily and fun to learn. The objectives of the apps are to provide the design and evaluation of an apps alphabet book, an android based book for teaching the alphabet to preschool children. Research has shown, the more a children can recognize the letters of the alphabets, the easier time learning between the sounds the alphabets and the letters. Within the apps, children need to memorize the letter names interactively with sounds and animation which can boost their memory and proven reinforcing letter recognition. This project is about creating a new approach of learning alphabets in Bahasa Melayu involving android application. In this approach, a tablet or smartphone that uses android is required.
