Abstract
The 'Infrared Receiving Mobile Robot ' is a project that produces a mobile robot, which could make movements whenever it received an infrared signal transmitted by infrared transmitter. Since the switch is pushed to ON position, IR signal will be transmitted to IR receiver, which placed on the robot The order for all movements afterwards is programmed by PIC microcontroller and driven by DC motor. An infrared signal will be transmitted by IR transmitter to IR receiver which sending data to PIC. The movements of this mobile robot are controlled by PIC (Peripheral Interface Controller). The type of PIC usage is PIC 16F877A. It used to control the orders for mobile robot movement. A 3 Volts DC motor is used to drive movements of the robot. By the combination of IR transmitter, IR receiver, PIC microcontroller and designation of the body, this mobile robot will make movements depends on the IR signal received and the programmable instruction.
