Abstract
This thesis are actually discussing about the universal icon design for menu interface for mobile phone. This icons will be created using Macromedia Flash 8.0 as the main software and just need a personal multimedia computers as a hardware. The design actually come out from users themselves because the analysis that have been made gathered all the information needed to make sure that the icons that will be created are universal and easily understood by users. The icons should be accepted by users and they are really recognized by users as it functions. This project use ADDIE as the instructional design but this approach is not really hundred percent use because it is adapted to environments and situations related to it. The Xerox Icon shape test is used during the testing phases to make sure the quality of the icons is standard. The navigation of the icons is till the level two of the menus which are menu and sub menu. The universal icons can be used for almost mobile phone and almost everybody understands its functions.
