Abstract

This project was built in order to DC motor position control that consist the use of software and hardware. The software used in this project is Proteus ISIS 6 Professional and a 12V DC motor and function as project plant. Microcontroller that used is from PIC16F877 type, functioning as a device that will generate PWM input to the driver. Driver from H-Bridge, LMD 18200 type selected to drive the motor movement and need a 12V-48V supply to activate or in other words, driver output is received by the motor and will move the motor. A proportional control approach used for this project in order to control motor position in case motor is overloaded which manipulate the actual motor position. Encoder that connected to the motor will function as a feedback to the motor and will generate a pulse to give a respond to the PIC.PIC will calculate the error and send the signal back to the driver and correct the error. Input terminal of this project is from computer where a complete circuit connected to computer using RS232. This project report result will perform where the motor position point to the requested position.
