Abstract
Ceramic is a material that has many privileges. Ceramics are non-metallic materials, but have similar characteristics of metals which are ionic and covalent bonding sensible strong. It always been often chosen as an alternative material to metals,especially when it comes to high temperatures. Prior to this in the automotive industry, ceramic has been used extensively, especially in engine blocks. This is based on its ability to sustain high temperatures. It also use on exhaust manifold, but the use of ceramics is as an insulator and a layer of exhaust manifold. This is intended to avoid high temperatures resulting from fuel combustion in the engine. In this project an exhaust manifold made Perodua Kancil car full with ceramics will be generated virtual by drawing in CA TIA. Then a thermal analysis is performed to test the ability to deal with the problem of cracks in the manifold due to Thermo Mechanical Fatigue (TMF),which happens when the manifold to accommodate the high temperatures.
