Abstract

Clarifier is a tool that serves to separate the suspended solids or impurities in the water. Existing clarifier system used in the industry during this maintenance cost is high. To overcome this problem, the system was developed which Lamella clarifier through a clarifier system, the routine maintenance need not be conducted except to clean the Lamella plates from time to time. Therefore, a mechanism should be provided for cleaning self cleaning metal plates in the system and the clarifier at the same time not interfere with the efficiency of the clarifier is in operation. To design a product, the methods used in engineering design can be applied. Methods such as House of Quality (HoQ) is important to know the characteristics of important engineering for a product based on the needs of consumers. The purpose of these rules do is to ensure that the selected design concept is the best. as well as meet the criteria set selection of design concepts can be made using the Pugh. Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD), is the method used in this project is to analyze the fluid flow clarifier to determine the efficiency of the resulting design concepts.
