Abstract
Ceramics filter has been used in many foundry industry to increase quality of the product and reduce the cost. This ceramics filter are used for aluminium alloy casting to remove dirt and non metal particle for stream into casting mold and it will effect physical characteristic of aluminium alloy. Ceramics is a material that can be exposed to high temperature and heat, so it is very suitable to be used as a filter for metal material. Aluminium alloy casting always have casting defect in the term of shrinkage and gas porosity. Therefore, the objective of studying and fabrication ceramics filter for aluminium alloy is to reduce its defect. It’s mechanical characteristic after sintering process will be analyzed and compare.
