Abstract

Concisely, well-organized parcel delivery solutions are emerging as more crucial due to the rise of digital purchasing and business operations. The penetration of parcel tracking systems is higher because of the fast growth of e-commerce, therefore, the need for good and reliable parcel tracking systems increases. According to the suggestion of this thesis, the Internet of Things (IoT) smart parcel receiver with NFC is to be designed with the aid of the microcontroller-based board namely ESP-CAM32 and Arduino Nano. The invention of the smart parcel receiver can be achieved with the goal of providing the sender the position and status of a parcel by tracking and monitoring the delivery of parcels in real-time. NFC technology is for the owner to open the smart parcel box and collect the parcel, instead of using the Blynk application. It guarantees safe and trusted data transfer, as NFC technology only enables a connection between the sender and the recipient of the parcel. Through ultrasonic sensor, tracking of movement of parcel is enabled and through a mobile application the receiver communicates status of the parcel to the sender. The purpose of such a system, which is suggested here, is to improve customer satisfaction levels by decreasing the probability of parcel loss or misplacement and at the same time, increasing the effectiveness and reliability of delivered parcels.
