Abstract
This thesis presents a system to monitor vibration remotely using the Internet of Things (IoT). The system can be utilized to provide early warning of vibration problems in various applications such as DC motor and motorcycle engine. DC motor is widely used in industrial equipment and household appliances. Preventing unexpected failures due to excessive vibration is essential so that overall equipment efficiency can be maintained. The development of the wireless vibration monitoring system intends to provide a low-cost solution for monitoring vibration and predicting failures. A vibration sensor will be used to acquire the vibration data. The data will be analysed and used to predict if the equipment is about to fail. The system will also enable the vibration data to be monitored remotely through cloud infrastructure using any devices connected to the Internet.
