Abstract

The Intelligent Garbage Management System utilizes Internet of Things (IoT) technology to address global waste management challenges. Rising global populations have led to increased waste levels, causing overflowing bins and health risks. This project aims to develop an IoT-driven solution for efficient waste management. IoT devices monitor real-time garbage levels, enabling data-driven decision-making and waste optimization. The project focuses on outdated waste collection schedules and proposes a system to improve efficiency, reduce waste accumulation, prevent disease spread, enhance residents' quality of life, and minimize environmental impact. Objectives involve studying existing systems, designing an intelligent garbage management system, and rigorously evaluating its impact. Deployed in Taman Tasik Senangin, the system employs ultrasonic and humidity sensors, and Wi-Fi connectivity. It targets densely populated areas to combat overflowing bins, environmental pollution, and health concerns. The project's contribution lies in real time monitoring, timely alerts, and data-driven decision-making. This approach enhances waste management efficiency and fosters sustainability.
