Abstract
In the post-COVID-19 era, it is highly recommended for individuals to prioritize self-hygiene and follow pandemic standard operating procedures (SOPs) even though they are no longer mandatory. This involves practicing self-hygiene, especially in public spaces, focusing on high-touch areas like door handles. There is room for improvement in current cleaning systems due to inconsistent patterns and manual labor. This project aims to design and implement an innovative solution to reduce viral and bacterial transmission through door handles. Incorporating modern technologies and materials, the contactless self-hygiene system encourages hygienic practices. The project involves using an Arduino UNO microcontroller and a Wi-Fi module for solution monitoring, along with a Diaphragm water pump for sanitation. The sanitation process is activated only when a door is opened and then closed. The scalable design can be adapted for various public places, including hospitals, shopping centers, schools, and offices.
