Abstract

This research addresses challenges faced by Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises (SMEs) in the fast-food industry, particularly in burger patty forming. SMEs encounter issues such as cost constraints, limited space, maintenance difficulties, and hygiene concerns with existing patty forming machines. The project aims to design an innovative machine catering to SMEs needs, focusing on affordability, space optimization, ease of maintenance, adaptability, and hygiene. Research questions evaluate current machines efficiency, consistency, versatility, and ease of use. Objectives involve identifying and evaluating current machines, conducting a conceptual design, and performing a SolidWorks analysis. The project's scope includes burger patty forming for SMEs, emphasizing the conceptual design stage, using SolidWorks for analysis, and focusing on fabricating the selected design. The goal is to enhance SMEs' operational efficiency and competitiveness in the fast-food market.
