Abstract
Nowadays, river and sea pollution had became more serious. People should put more attention on it not continuos pollute it. The causes of water pollution may be due to the population of growth and city expansion. Human keep destroy the ecosystem and with a habit of simply throwing rubbish into the drain or river. The waste pollutants and feces waste are now causing polution in Malacca River. These pollution may lower the quality of the river's water. Residents in Melaka have endorsed the issue that the river's water quality has significantly declined because of garbage pollution. The Malacca River's trash is now being removed using a manpower trash collector system. The manpower trash collector system is not so effective to the cleaning process. This may be due to it required manpower to complete it. As we know strenght of people are limited. Therefore, the cleaning process may take long time to complete. To solve the river surface trashes issue on the Malacca River, a system named Environment-Conveyed Automated IoT PONTOON (En-COOTIP) will be invented. The objective of this project is to design the conveyor guide using Pugh Method and House of Quality (HoQ) method. Furthermore, to do static analysis on the conveyor guide with using SolidWorks Software. Conveyor guide playing a very important role in the system. This may be due to conveyor guide may expand the trash collecting surface area. The trash may collect by the system more faster. With the function of open and close of the conveyor guide, the trash can be trap and collect by the system. With this high-tech system, it will speed up the cleaning process of Malacca river. Pugh Method is a quantitative technique used to rank the multidimensional options of an option set. It is frequenctly used in engineering design decision. HoQ is a product planning matrix that demonstrates how customer requirement are linked to the methods and processes that design can use to meet those requirements. Throughout these two method, we are able to choose the best design which suitable the market.
