Abstract

The advanced development of smart device allows to control the movement of robot arm one’s of the smart device. The future in the controlling of robotic arm structure to pick and place object that controlled by Leap motion which is a gesture control mechanism. Thus, this is new technology which allows people to control a devices or hardware and this is applicable for those tasks that unreachable by people or helping them in new way to controlling of things. This robotic arm will be control by Leap Motion and Arduino as microcontroller to control the angles and displacements of servo motor precisely. All the information will send to Arduino through a comment prompt which is using node.js. Here, the programming language that use is JavaScript that act as a medium to connect the Arduino and Leap Motion. All the equation and parameters are use inside the JavaScript that written in the Notepad++. Thus, in last part is testing the leap motion in various conditions to test it performances. Next, rules base is setup for the parameters and also algorithm is use. This is for the movement of the robot arm and also for smoothing the movement of the robot arm. As a conclusion, the development of this product is important for upgrading the future.
