Abstract
This research project is focused on creating a hanging prototype for a smart cloth hanging system using Arduino and IoT technology. As part of the research technique, sensors and motor were used to monitor and manage the hanging process, assuring user comfort and simplicity. This project aims to address the common problem people have when trying to manage their clothing in unpredictable weather, especially in places like Malaysia where rainfall patterns are not predictable. The problem statement emphasizes the requirement for an automated system to shield clothing from precipitation in order to improve convenience, lessen labor costs, and save time. The goals of the project are to use Arduino and Internet of Things technologies to develop a smart hanging system. These goals include collecting user feedback, optimizing hardware design, implementing data analytics, moving clothes automatically to cover during rainy seasons, and communicating in real-time via the Internet of Things. The project's block diagram, flowchart, sustainable development features, and user survey are all described in detail in the methodology. Arduino microcontrollers, sensors, and a motorized hanger mechanism are all part of the hardware integration. For IoT connectivity, the Blynk application is used, enabling remote monitoring and control. Results from functionality tests, raindrop tests, and an overall performance evaluation are presented in the results and discussions section, with an emphasis on the Blynk app's user-friendly interface and the prototype's efficacy. The project shows the potential benefits to the economy, society, and environment while representing a step towards convenient and sustainable cloth management.
