Abstract
This report is about Temperature Mapping of Air Conditioning System in Classroom Using CFD Method. Temperature mapping problem is common issues that occur in air conditioning system. By using simulation method, we can study about temperature mapping problem and the problem can be optimized. The simulation from Ansys Fluent software will simulate air flow in the area that we study. This project will focus on coordinates of diffuser in classroom. By adjusting the coordinates of diffuser, we can determine either temperature mapping can be optimized or not and can be prove by using simulation. This study conducted by collect three different classroom data from three different faculty in industries campus Universiti Teknikal Malaysia Melaka (UTeM). This is to identify which classroom will be subject in this research. The data is collected three days for each classroom to get more accurate data. This research is using a basic tool from Heating Ventilation and Air Conditioning (HVAC) to get data which is capture hood (Balometer), Enviromental Monitoring Device (EVM) and humidty probe to take the data. Then, Solidwork Version 2019 software is use for sketch the classroom and coordinates diffuser in the classroom. Ansys Fluent Version 2016 is use to simulate air flow from the Solidwork drawing. The final coordinates have optimized the temperature mapping if compare with the original coordinates of diffuser.
