Abstract

Nowadays you can see Air Conditioning system almost everywhere.Air Conditioning usage has increased dramatically in the past 30 years. But the energy consumption in the world has also risen to a critical level.Especially with the mankind rapidly advancing development in technology, medicine and agriculture. With the energy demand that has increased rapidly and a very little source to an energy, this report will discuss an alternative energy by using a heat waste from an Air Conditioning system. An Air Conditioning system provide cool air by transferring heat from one space to another. The heat usually will be released to the atmosphere. In this project, rather than wasting the heat to the atmosphere, the heat will be used to convert heat energy into an usable electrical energy. This can be achieved by using Thermoelectric Generator device. It is a small device that abide Seebeck’s Law.The project does not only depending on the heat waste of the Air Conditioning system, but also by temperature differences at the sides of the Thermoelectric Generator. Thus,a branch of piping will be added at the low side pressure piping of the Air Conditioning system to increase the temperature differences, thus providing a lot more power output from the Thermoelectric Generator. The total energy output will be calculated to how fast the energy output can charge a 3000 mAh powerbank and will be compared to the common power socket capability in charging a 300 mAh powerbank.
