Abstract

Modern era nowadays comes with a lot of modern technology that can help to improve human productivities including in the transportations sector One of the issue that occur on the development of Bullet Train is to find the suitable ways to improve the speed and performance of bullet train. The suitable solution is purposed in this research.Based on the research, the shape of the Bullet train will determine the impact of aerodynamic feature of the bullet train and the effectiveness of bullet train also can be improve by improving the profile design of Bullet Train. The concept of the nature design or also known as Bio Inspired Design (BID) have been introduced to overcome the effectiveness issue and Snakehead Fish had been chosen for the improvement due to the aerodynamic criteria that also known as serpentine that suitable to be applied to the bullet train.Shinkansen Bullet Train JR500 is chosen as an existing design and the improvement design will be done by making a new profile design which the nose shape design will resemble the profile design of the Snakehead.Next, the method of analysis will be used and three method will be involved in this analysis that are static analysis, fatigue analysis and also dynamic analysis.Solidworks SimulationXpress the data from the analysis is used to find safety factor (
