Abstract

Nowadays,the technologies are improve day by day,the frequency band also increase from 1G and now this generation is in the middle of 4G.This system want to prove on how to implement this antenna for 5G communication as it apply a point to point communication. Therefore,proposed of this project is to design microstrip array antenna at higher frequency which is 28 GHz as it is the most expected frequency for 5G communication.Furthermore,artificial magnetic conductor (AMC) is implement to the antenna design to improve the performance of microstrip array antenna by improving the return loss and also the radiation pattern of the antenna design.The important of improving the return loss is to reduce the power loss of the antenna.Next,radiation pattern is divide into major lobe and side lobe. Therefore,major lobe must be higher compare to minor lobe so that the directional of the antenna will be higher without any unwanted source from undesired direction.The antenna will operates at the frequency of 28GHz within 1GHz bandwidth (27.5GHz – 28.5GHz) and its dielectric material is constructed by using Rogers5880 (lossy) with dielectric constant,
