Abstract
This report will present about Single Pole Double Throw (SPOT) Dual band switch design with transmission line stub resonator to support the modem wireless communication at 2.3 GHz and 3.5 GHz for WiMAX and LTE application. The transmission line stub resonator is an open stub with a quarter wave of an electrical length. A PIN diode is used in the resonator which is between bandstop and allpass responses. The implementation of the transmission line stub resonators in SPOT switch design is discussed and explained along with the circuit operation. The simulation and measurements results show that the isolation of the SPOT Dual band switch with transmission line stub resonator was higher than 30 dB in both frequency 2.3 GHz and 3.5 GHz bands, where for this design the return loss and insertion loss is more than 1 OdB and less than 3dB respectively to achieve the design specification
