Abstract

Nowadays, a lot of devices and systems can be implemented to improve the efficiency of the monitoring system. This project is about Temperature Monitoring System for Infant Incubator using RF. The importance of temperature to be monitored is a reason for this project to be done. In this project, Arduino UNO as a microcontroller used as a control unit for three actuators that will be acted on the measurement data from three parameters. Throughout the advanced technology, the radio frequency is one of the excellent in sending and receiving data information. This technology has been used in many sectors, especially biomedical to enhance the monitoring system of the patient. The transmitter transmits the data to the receiver on the computer and display in the interface. When the three conditions occur during the process, the LED were blinking and pop-up window come out for the notification purpose. The three conditions is when the air temperature >37 degrees Celsius and when the air temperature < 23 degrees Celsius. The distance of the receiver able to receive the data also has been analyzed to ensure that data was received successfully. This Arduino-based project intend to implement radio frequency as a medium of transmitting and increase the safety level and minimized the human based error. Furthermore, radio frequency is widely used and worth to apply.
