Abstract

Shorter product development lead time is essential to unsure product goes to the market faster and achieve the market target. Product design and development process of a product must be well defined to achieve that objective. The generic product development process has six phases which is product planning, concept generation, preliminarily design, detail design, testing and mass production The objective of this study is to developed protective cover for in vivo post circumcision treatment and get better understanding about the development process. The study basically focuses on the beginning of the phase until the concept testing of a product. In order to get better understanding on this development process, literature review study was done through the books, journals, articles, internet, and other reference sources. In vivo protective device are designed by using SolidWork software and for the concept testing will be conducted based on survey and interviews. Interviews are conducted based on size of market and product use used to get the clearance result on the device. From the result of interviews, this project will be concluding either can be success and give contribution to the community or not.
