Abstract

Web Server Monitoring System is one of the important systems to whom that concerned about the information from the web server log file. The target user of the system is network administrator or websites holder. When clients access to a particular websites hosted by the web server, some information, :tor example, their IP address, the domain they accessed, date and time, web browser used or operating system used, will be stored in the log file, either access log file or error log file. These information is the important for the admin users or websites holder, where they need to analyze which domain is the most popular website, or the errors generated as long as the web server is ready to receive client's request. The system is capable to analyze those data from access log file and error log file. The data will then pass to MySQL database and stored it for future used. Each time the users run Web Server Monitoring System, the data from the database will be fetched out and make comparison or enhancement by using PHP script language. The enhanced data will then display in the web browser in a simple manner. For example, a simple is used to list out all the IP address from the log file rather than users have to read it line by line in traditional environment.
