Abstract

Vehicle ride and handling analysis is one of the important aspects that need to take fabulous seriously. This paper takes a model of amphibious vehicle to establish the exact virtual behavior level of riding and handling base on the truth design and parameter. This ride and handling analysis develop 10 degree of freedom for both to analyze the vehicle`s ride and handling control include moment level of pitch, roll, yaw, body displacemet, longitudinal acceleration, lateral acceleration and longitudinal slip for all four tires. Therefore, the ability level and limitation of that vehicle will be known as the way to avoid any difficulties or unneeded case happened and also to improve the ride and handling level either in accelerate, decelerate, cornering and step steer on road surface. Besides, this model of vehicle is capable to be function on the water where as the design of the body work is fulfill the buoyancy concept that to be stabilize on every condition surface. The analysis of buoyancy and stability for this model also is carried out for verifying the vehicle ability to be in equilibrium condition in case of heeling and capsizing on water surface especially in rolling and pitchin factor. Archimedes law is referred to model this amphibious vehicle for determine the buoyancy force acted. The certain of test also have been made using simulation software and engineering principle to determined the ability of this amphibious vehicle on the road or on the water.
