Abstract

Musculoskeletal system is the organ system that gives people the ability to move muscles and skeleton system. In this body system, diseases and disorders can affect the function and effectiveness of the system. Work related musculoskeletal disorders occur when there is a mismatch between the physical requirements of the job and the physical capacity of the human body. The purpose of this study is to evaluate the probable causes of musculoskeletal disorders among workers in aerospace industry. Method that will be observed for this aerospace industry also include some survey of works experienced by workers to identify how heavy and exhausting the working feels, combining all sensations and feelings of physical stress, effort, and fatigue. All data taken will be analyzed mainly by the Rapid Upper Limb Assessment (RULA) and Electromyorgaphy (EMG) Test. Findings will show the effect on the body parts and muscle activities by the most probable causes of musculoskeletal disorders. Finally the result will be discussed to achieve the objective and also propose an ergonomics improvement for the aerospace industry.
